Your camera roll is full of your children and the odd blurry photo someone grabbed of you, but there is nothing you would happily frame.
You want to look like yourself on a good day with your favourite people, the kind of image that could sit beside your favourite piece of art without screaming “photoshoot”.
You are happy to put a little thought into outfits and a quick tidy, you just want someone else to decide what actually needs to move and where you should stand.

Hi! I’m Emma!
I live in Kilrea, which I like to think is the centre of the universe. Famous for Mullins ice cream and being that place you drive through on your way to somewhere else.
I have a Fine Art degree, a soft spot for 90s music and foam banana sweets, and five nieces and nephews who keep me well practised in silly faces and tickle wars.
On a session you get both sides. The chatty, auntie energy that puts everyone at ease, and the art director who is quietly watching the light, fixing the background and making sure you look like yourself on a really good day.
How sessions feel
Family photos should feel like a good day, not a performance you have to get through.
When I arrive, you are allowed to stop organising. I take over the thinking so you can actually be with your family.
I guide gently.
I notice the light.
I move what distracts.
I slow things down when they need to be slowed.
In real life, that looks like this:
I send simple outfit guidance so you feel pulled together without a wardrobe meltdown.
I move cables, stray toys and anything that will bother your eye later, and I do it without making you feel judged.
I bring my old teacher tricks so children feel seen, not told off, and reluctant grown ups never feel ridiculous.
I work with whatever the day brings, from overtired toddlers to cluster feeding newborns, and fold it into the story instead of fighting it.
You do not need a perfect house, model children or a partner who loves the camera. You just need to turn up as you are. I will take it from there.

I offer two options for your relaxed family photoshoot in Belfast or up along the beautiful North Coast.
You can stay at home -the place where real life happens – and I’ll capture all those perfectly imperfect little moments.
Or we can head to the beach, where the kids can run wild, you can actually be in the photos, and nobody has to sit still.

AT HOME IN BELFAST
There is something special about being photographed where life actually happens.
Soft window light in the kitchen. A favourite mug on the worktop. Tiny fingerprints on the glass. The sofa they climb on every day. The hallway you walk a hundred times without thinking.
At home sessions are slow and rooted. We use the corners you already love and the light you already have. I will quietly clear what distracts so the photos feel calm and considered, not busy.
These sessions are for you if you want your home in the story and you also care what ends up on your walls.

BY THE SEA ON THE NORTH COAST
For the families who breathe better by the water.
Bare feet. Salty hair. Sand in everyone’s shoes. Kids running in all directions. You pulled in close as the light drops and the wind does its own thing with your hair.
Seaside sessions give us space. Space for movement, for play, for small people who do not want to sit still. I will tell you roughly where to stand, what to ignore and when to pull them in tighter, so you are not spending the whole time wondering if we have anything good.
These sessions are for you if the coast feels like your family’s happy place and you love the idea of seeing that feeling up on your walls.

FOR NEWBORNS IN BELFAST AND BEYOND
Newborn life is tender and a little bit foggy.
You are healing.
You are learning how to do everything one handed.
You are counting sleep in minutes, not hours.
The idea of getting everyone out the door, on time and in coordinated clothes can feel impossible. So we do not do that.
Newborn sessions happen in your home, using soft, natural light and an unhurried pace. Feeds, nappy changes, outfit swaps and tears are part of it, not a problem to hide. There is no rush and no pressure to pretend you have it all together.
No props.
No baskets.
No complicated posing.
Just you, your baby and the people who feel like home, held in a way that will still feel honest and beautiful years from now.
FOR THE MUMS WHO ARE USUALLY OFF TO THE SIDE
FAMILY
Your phone is full of photos of your children.
There are maybe three of you, usually taken in a hurry, mid blink or with a small person half blocking your face. You are there for every moment, you are just strangely absent from the evidence.
Being the family memory keeper is a whole extra job. You do not have to carry this one too.
Your children will not be looking for perfect. They will be looking for the way you held them, the way you looked at them, the way your laugh creased your eyes.
