Drenagh Estate wedding | Heather and Chris

Drenagh Estate wedding

Your wedding is about you, the people that you love and want to share the day with. You should have time to enjoy your guests, laugh with them and crowd surf, if that is your thing! And that is exactly what Heather and Chris did.  What fun this day was! Here are some highlights from their Drenagh Estate wedding:

Your wedding is your day.  I want you to enjoy yourselves and have as much time as possible to celebrate with your guests.  I don’t expect you to spend hours away from the party getting endless photos taken. Instead, I ask for about 20-30 minutes to get some lovely relaxed portraits of the new Mr and Mrs! This is an opportunity to take a breath and enjoy a few quiet moments together, just the two of you.

Drenagh Estate is a wonderful venue. There is the beautiful manor house, which is great for your drinks reception and if it happens to rain. Which, let’s face it, happens all too often in Northern Ireland!  Then there is a walled garden that dates back to the 18thCentury, which is the most stunning location for the marquee.  Drenagh Estate is set in 1000 acres of parkland, so there are plenty of places to take a stroll and be surrounded by nature. As darkness was falling, Heather and Chris took a walk under the festoon lights in the walled garden, and it was just gorgeous!

During the speeches, I get lots of great shots of your guests laughing, usually at the groom’s expense! Have you even got married if the groom isn’t embarrassed by his best man? Cue photos of the groom in his pants!

The formalities are out of the way, now is the time to have some fun! Heather and Chris had an epic dance floor, with the groom going crowd surfing! What a way to end the day!

Enjoy some of my favourite moments from Heather and Chris’ Drenagh Estate wedding and keep scrolling to the bottom to see the groom on the dance floor!

It was lovely to catch up with Edeanne and Sammy on their Downhill Beach family photoshoot and to capture memories for their family. I had the pleasure of photographing Edeanne and Sammy’s wedding (I won’t say how long ago!), so it was lovely to hang out and get some...

Are you herding cats when you try to get a family photo?

Let me paint a familiar picture for you: you're trying to wrangle your kids for that perfect family photo, but it feels like herding cats, am I right?  You've got one little angel posing perfectly, and just as you're about to snap the pic, chaos erupts!  It's...
